OPEN CALL: SUMMER CAMP 2022

The OCCC seeks proposals for in-person summer camp arts programming focusing on multidisciplinary and theater, music, dance, visual arts, leadership, film and photography disciplines that align with the center’s mission. Preference will be given to Dallas-based performing artists and organizations, cultural producers, and/or individual artists that have worked at the OCCC in the past for summer camp arts programming. The OCCC’s in-person summer camp will occur from June 13 – July 8, 2022, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
 

Eligibility: 

Preference will be given to Dallas-based performing artists and organizations, cultural producers, and/or individual artists who have worked with the neighborhood cultural centers in the past or other performing arts venues in Dallas and North Texas for summer camp arts programming, and those with experience working with ALAANA/BIPOC communities.

General submission guidelines:

Please submit a minimum 200-word description of the proposed programs with a detailed description of the program(s), detailed fee proposal (including any private or in-kind funding available for the program), organizational mission, proposed artist(s) that will participate (and how they will participate), and any previous experience producing similar programs with Dallas and regional arts and cultural venues and/or organizations.

The following criteria should be included in the submitted proposal(s):

  • Previous examples of artistic services provided to OAC’s neighborhood cultural centers for summer camp arts programming
  • Previous examples of the flexibility of scheduling for arts programming for in-person classes
  • Cost per child/student as a percentage of the overall budget

TIMELINE:

  • Friday, April 1, 2022: Open for submissions
  • Tuesday, April 5, 2022: Submission DEADLINE
  • April 20, 2022: Selected candidates notified by email
