Join the Oak Cliff Cultural Center (OC3) at the Texas Theatre for a screening of At the Pan-African Connection (2025) on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 4:30 PM (doors at 4:00 PM). This presentation of the film is open to the public

As socio economic progress stalls in Black America, filmmaker, Anthony Asota, searches for answers at a local Black bookstore in Dallas.  Can his community’s struggles be overcome, or did the unity and equity they seek die with their past decades? 

Immediately following the showing, Jerry Hawkins, Founder of The Hawkins Archives and Works, will moderate a panel discussion with Akwete Tyehimba, CEO/Owner of Pan-African Connection, Marilyn Clark, Founder of Black Cinematheque, and Patrick Washington, Board Chair of Dallas Weekly
