Exhibition Proposals

*Our annual open call for exhibitions is now closed. The next open call will be announced in Spring 2024 with an early summer deadline for proposals. Please check our website and social media for announcements.

Each year the Oak Cliff Cultural Center accepts applications from artists and curators for solo and group exhibitions to occur the following calendar year.  Selected artists and curators are invited to present an exhibition in the OC3 Gallery after review by the Gallery Programs Coordinator/Curator and OC3 staff.

Awardees will work directly with the Oak Cliff Cultural Center Gallery Program Coordinator on planning, installing, and marketing the exhibition. Awardees receive an honorarium, marketing support, and the opportunity to participate in the OC3 Frequencies podcast.

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center (OC3) is committed to enriching and empowering the Dallas community through arts and culture programming that is equitable, diverse and encourages communication that supports and promotes local artists while nurturing knowledge and growth within the community.

Presenting approximately 8-10 exhibitions yearly with accompanying programming including artist led workshop and guest lectures, the OC3 Gallery aims to present a diverse range of artistic approaches, mediums, and voices. The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is a division of the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.

The Gallery Programs Coordinator serves as the primary curator for the OC3 gallery. Exhibition proposals from artists and curators are accepted and reviewed for inclusion in the programming. Curators and artists should consider the aesthetic strengths of their work and how it will provide an opportunity for the community to engage with relevant topics and diverse ideas.

To maintain our commitment to presenting diverse programming, we encourage artists and curators who have not presented work in the OC3 Gallery in the past 3 years to apply.
