Ross Gay: Author Reading & Book Signing

Off

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center has partnered with Oak Cliff bookstore Whose Books to bring you this wonderful opportunity to meet acclaimed American author and poet, Ross Gay.

Join us for a delightful evening with author and poet Ross Gay as he shares his story and reads from his collection of essays “The Book of Delights” which celebrates the ordinary delights in the world around us and has inspired the upcoming art exhibit “Flowering” (opening in April 2023).

His newest book “Inciting Joy” considers the joy we incite when we care for each other especially during life’s inevitable hardships. He explores how we can practice recognizing that connection, and also crucially, how we expand it.

Ross Gay is an American poet, essayist, and professor who won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry and the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award for his 2014 book Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, which was also a finalist for the National Book Award for Poetry
